Reassessment is now complete and there are only a couple of Ab. Ed. Diploma Exams remaining to end the first semester. Semester 2 and Term 3 courses start on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Parents, please ensure your children have refilled their backpacks with school supplies for the start of the new semester.

Semester 2 Course Change Requests
Class change requests for second semester can only be made by completing the google form at the following link: https://forms.gle/57P9VgCpM8ZZYzxy5

This form must be completed by students logged into their rvschools.ab.ca school account. Class change requests must be submitted by tomorrow, Tuesday, January 30th, and must be for valid educational reasons, which include programming changes, accidental duplicate courses, or missing courses.

Athletics
Curling practices are on-going for our five curling teams. Divisional Championships are Wednesday, January 31^st and Thursday, February 1^st, 2024. South-Central Zone Championships are February 7^th and 8th, 2024. Badminton season starts February 1^st, 2024. Grade 10 badminton try-outs will be on Monday, February 5th, 2024 in the Wilson Gym at lunch. Please contact Ms. Everson if any students have any questions.

Our next basketball games are as follows:

• Varsity Girls - exhibition home game against HTA at 6:00 P.M. tomorrow.

• Both Boys' teams will play their next home game on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 in our Wilson Gym against George McDougall.

Fine Arts
Shrek the Musical auditions are scheduled for this week. They will be Wednesday and Thursday after school and Friday before school. Please see Ms. Fulthorpe to sign-up.

Culinary
The Lakers Bistro will re-open for Semester 2 on Monday, February 5th, 2024. The Lakers Bistro will still be offering the same tasty food and great prices as it did in semester one but watch out for new menu items weekly. Students can continue to pay with cash, Lakers Bistro punch cards, or debit/credit at the business office.

First day of semester 2 is Wednesday, January 31, 2024. There are no classes for students on January 29^th and 30th.
